We are a Jayco dealership and all of our new caravans and motorhomes are Jayco’s. We may have some other brands on site that have been traded in. Have a look at our used caravan section.
We can have a look at your caravan as a trade in against a new sale. It will depend on how much room we have on the yard and how much you want for your trade. We do trade ins on Australian Manufactured caravans only.
We may be able to help with an on behalf sale but your best bet is trade me.
Jayco’s are built tough for our conditions and need a highly rated tow vehicle. Jayco’s weights range from 1800kgs to 2800kgs unloaded. You will need to allow around 500kgs minimum on top of the weight of the caravan for equipment and compare that figure against your “braked tow rating” on your towbar. Popular vehicles are the likes of Ford Rangers and Holden Colarados with a 3.5 tonne tow rating. You will also need a brake controller fitted in your vehicle.
A brake controller is a unit that allows you to control the intensity of the electronic braking in your caravan. They are installed by an auto electrician and cost upwards of $1300. You legally require a brake controller if you are towing a caravan with electric brakes. We recommend one for every caravan. There are wifi options available.
A stock unit will need at least a week to get ready, most likely longer at certain times of the year. We need to do a full pre-delivery check to ensure everything works and make any alterations that may be required.
Please check with our staff on factory schedule of the caravan you are interested in. From there availability will be relying on shipping schedules’
We do a full handover service as part of the sale. This shows you everything there is to know about the operation of your caravan.
We provide our own video on how to operate your caravan as well as links for the Jayco ‘How To’ videos on You Tube. This is handy to refer to in the future for a quick refresher.
We also provide a complimentary night accommodation at a local holiday park on the day of collection for you to use your caravan with the handover being fresh in mind. We recommend that you take advantage of this before heading on longer journeys.
Generally, all Jayco’s will be certified as self contained. Some models will require additions such as a grey water tank to meet self containment requirements.
You will need to join the NZMCA or All Points Camping to enjoy all the benefits of that self containment certification.
Sorry but we are closed on Sundays and all public holiday weekends.
We also close for 2 weeks over Christmas.
